We want to thank our friends at the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association – SLVA and Anna 4 Paws for the donation of 10 Canine First Aid kits. The kits were designed and sponsored by veterinarians from SLVA. Each sponsored kit will be supported by a veterinarian as items are used or expire. The bags will be deployed over the next few weeks after a training class from Dr. Margaret Trumble of Avenue Animal Wellness and Emergency (who also sponsored a kit!).
Our thanks go out to Clearview Veterinary Hospital, Gulf South Veterinary Dentistry & Oral Surgery, Dr. Karen Parker, Maple Street Veterinary Hospital, Pet Care Centers, Quality Pet Care, and Veterinary Specialists Of Greater New Orleans for sponsoring the first bags!

Anna 4 Paws donated 11 first-aid kits to the NOPD and held the canine first aid training, taught by Dr. Margaret Trumble of Avenue Animal Wellness and Emergency, at NOPD’s K-9/Mounted compound.

New Orleans EMS

𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙛 𝙍𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮 𝙎𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙝 and the STPSO K9 Division 🐾welcomed Anna 4 Paws  as new partners in emergency care situations for our K9’s. This organization is a non-profit run by Adrian Thompson. Our K-9 Division was presented with life saving K9 emergency kits specifically for dogs. In addition, Dr. Margaret Trumble of Avenue Animal Wellness + Ermergency will be providing training to all of our handlers on how to utilize these kits in the event an incident occurs. We pray that we NEVER need them. Thanks to this organization and the local clinics that sponsored these kit, we are prepared.
Claiborne Hill Veterinary Hospital for sponsoring these kits for the STPSO K-9 Division. In addition, they have agreed to always keep these bags refilled and up to date for our dogs.

“Mandeville Fire/EMS (STPFD4) would like to announce its partnership with Anna 4 Paws, a non-profit organization that specializes in providing canine-specific first-aid training and medical kits to working canine teams across the state. As part of this collaboration, K-9 Sadie and her handler, Chief of Fire Prevention, Jason Kaufmann, received their medical kit recently. K-9 Sadie is the first fire service dog to receive this first-aid medical kit. We would like to thank Mandeville Animal Hospital for sponsoring K-9 Sadie’s kit and ensuring all first-aid items are up to date.
We want to personally thank Anna 4 Paws partners Adrian Thompson, Medical Director Dr. Margaret Thrumble, and Dr. Liza Ledet of Mandeville Animal Hospital for their generosity in enhancing the safety and health of K-9 Sadie.”

We would like to thank Foundation Owner Adrian Thompson, Hosptial Director Mike Richard, and Doctor Margaret Trumble for such a generous and thoughtful donation to our Slidell Police K-9 Division!Although we hope we will never have to put these kits to use, we are beyond grateful for this donation!”

The Covington Police Department has announced its partnership with Anns 4 Paws, a non-profit organization that specializes in providing canine-specific first-aid training and medical kits to working canine teams across the state. As part of this collaboration, K-9 Maou and her handler, Detective George Crater, received their medical kit on July 19, 2023. We would like to thank Animal Health Clinic of Covington for sponsoring K-9 Maou’s kit and ensuring all first-aid items are up to date.
We want to personally thank Anna 4 Paws founding partners Adrian Thompson, Brittany Sylvia, Medical Director Margaret Thrumble, and Animal Health Clinic of Covington for their generosity in enhancing the safety and health of K-9 Maou.

The Mandeville Police Department would like to extend our gratitude to Anna 4 Paws and Monroe Street Animal Hospital of Mandeville for presenting us with a life-saving canine emergency kit! Anna 4 Paws also provides training for K-9 handlers in emergency situations. Monroe Street Animal Hospital is sponsoring the kit long term for the department and will repack the kit if anything is used or expires at no cost! Our very own K-9 Vinny, named after fallen officer Captain Vincent Liberto, and canine handler Reserve Officer Bobby Marx were also in attendance to receive this great gift. We want to extend a special thank you to the founding partners of Anna 4 Paws, Adrian Thompson and Brittany Sylvia, medical Director Margaret Thrumble and of course the late ANNA. Canine Anna was employed by the Jefferson Parish Sherriff’s Office for 10 years and is the inspiration behind this organization.”

The Kenner Police Department and especially our K-9 Unit would like to give a big THANK YOU to Anna 4 Paws, Chateau Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Trumble of Avenue Animal Wellness + Emergency! We had the honor of a visit from the Anna 4 Paws Organization, Chateau Veterinary staff, and Dr. Trumble yesterday with a very generous gift of three First Aid bags for each of our K-9s. Dr. Trumble has also donated her time to hold a Canine First Aid class for each of our K-9 handlers. We can not thank these individuals enough for their generosity and support!

4/21/21 “Retired Police K-9 Anna, Adrian Thompson of the Anna 4 Paws Foundation and Dr. Margaret Trumble from Avenue Animal Wellness + Emergency met with Sheriff Jerry Turlich to donate a first aid kit for PPSO K-9 Tesla. Along with the donation of the bag, Deputy Joseph Francis will receive K-9 First-Aid instruction from Dr. Trumble. The donated K-9 first aid kit was sponsored by Belle Chasse Animal Hospital, who has pledged to keep the kit up-to-date and replace any expired or used supplies at no cost to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office.

1/18/24 “Sheriff Jerry Turlich would like to give a shout-out to the Anna 4 Paws non-profit organization and their cooperating partners, Algiers Animal Clinic and Three Rivers Animal Hospital, for providing K9 Vader and his handler, Detective Bryan Munch, with a canine specific first-aid kit. This first-aid kit contains emergency supplies so the handler can stabilize their canine partners in the field before transferring them to get emergency medical care. By partnering with local veterinarians, items inside the kit that are used or expired can be re-packed at no cost to the handler or agency!”

Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office

Retired Police K-9 Anna, Adrian Thompson of the Anna 4 PAWS Foundation and Dr. Margaret Trumble stopped by the Gretna Police Department to donate first aid kits for the K-9’s. Dr. Hesse with Gretna Animal Hospital, LLC sponsored all 3 bags for our K-9’s and has pledged to keep the kits up to date by replacing any expired or used supplies at no cost to the Gretna Police Department. Along with the donation of the bags, the Gretna Police K-9 Officers will receive K-9 First-Aid instruction from Dr. Margaret Trumble.

We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Hesse at Gretna Animal Hospital, LLC, Adrian Thompson, Dr. Margaret Trumble and especially Anna.

In April 2021, Anna 4 Paws was happy to donate two Anna 4 Paws Canine First Aid kits to the two working canine teams at the Westwego Police Department.  The donation of equipment was followed by a day of canine first air training.
